Sketched Slubs
Give core denim slubbed and cross-hatched character for Nu-Normcore and Noughties Nostalgia throwbacks.

Fibre and yarn: source traceable linen and GOTS-certified and recycled cotton, blending with GRS-certified polyester if necessary. Use thick vertical slubs for a linear pattern.
Colour and finish: build vintage character into surfaces with sketchy cross-hatched effects. Look for more aggressive washes while still opting for low-impact processes.
Construction and weight: use simple 2/1 and 3/1 twills, with weights ranging from 7-14oz.
Stitched Repeats
Create stitch-like effects with regulated constructions that honour cultural and craft techniques.

Fibre and yarn: GOTS-certified, recycled and regenerative cotton, blending with modal and Tencel for lightness. Focus on a dry handfeel with cotton being the leading yarn.
Colour and finish: combine indigo tones and whites, embracing the irregular colour of recycled denim yarns for a worn-in, vintage feel.
Construction and weight: develop sashiko stitch effects and small dobby motifs, creating a stitched-like pattern.
Aquatic Stripes
Tap into relaxed, casual stripes with a nod to vintage styles, referencing our Modern Mariner story.

Fibre and yarn: use natural, GOTS-certified, GRS-certified and regenerative cotton, traceable linen, hemp, nettle and bamboo. Allow slubs and neps from the yarn to come through.
Colour and finish: develop workwear stripes in nautical blues and greens with white, finishing with sun-faded, cross-hatched and laundered surfaces for a relaxed sea-washed feel.
Construction and weight: work with classic twill and plain weave constructions, exploring dobbies for added interest. Weights range from 5-12oz.
